Stuart McCready

Stuart McCready, BEng.

Research Interests:

Seeking sustainable, renewable energy solutions for the future, with current focus on solar energy storage, capture and subsequent heat release. I am particularly interested in sustainable energy solutions which can be implemented in developing countries.

Brief Bio:

I became a chemical engineering student at Strathclyde University in Glasgow in 2008. My projects there include design of an ibuprofen production plant and feasibility report for production of quantum dots. I have also pursued my interests in nanogenerators and artificial pancreas technologies. I have worked within the coal gasification industry in South Africa, and the plastics manufacturing industry in China and have learned much from these internships. I worked within the research dept. at Chemical Institute of Technology in Prague, where I investigated the mass transfer kinetics in liquid-filled gas aerated tanks. I am now seeking PhD opportunities for my interests in sustainable energy.
